What is the Oxfordshire Mental Health Information website?
It is an online database which aims to provide accessible information about local mental health services. Who provides the service?
This online database is run in partnership between two local mental health charities, Oxfordshire Mind and Oxfordshire Mental Health Matters, which both have a track record of providing information services. Oxfordshire Mental Health Matters has many years' experience of running a drop-in information centre, Oxfordshire Mind produces the printed Mind Guide to Mental Health Services in Oxfordshire, and both charities have long provided a telephone information service. How is it funded?
The project has been set up with the assistance of funds from National Mind and is supported by Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust.

What does the database include?
The database contains information about:

- Oxfordshire mental health services - run by the NHS and by voluntary agencies
- Other Oxfordshire local services, including:

Advice and information

Carer support

Family services

Drug/alcohol agencies

Employment and training

Housing and homelessness

- We also provide links to some national agencies - see Useful Links.

What does it not include?
We don't provide lists of GPs - see GP/Primary Care services.

We don't provide lists of solicitors - see www.lawsociety.org.uk. However, staff on the Oxfordshire Mental Health Information Line can sometimes advise on local solicitors dealing with mental health issues - ring 01865 247788.

We don't provide lists of private counsellors, psychologists, or complementary therapists. Details of accrediting bodies for these professions, which provide lists of their members, are available on our Useful Links page. How accurate is the data? We make every effort to ensure that the information on this site is reliable, but we cannot guarantee its accuracy.
